Bukit Darah PLC is a diversified listed group with primary activities in oil palm plantations and a portfolio of downstream and service businesses including beverages, oils and fats manufacturing, leisure and real estate, and portfolio and asset management. The Group operates integrated palm oil plantations and mills, together with complementary manufacturing and consumer-facing businesses. Its Beverage operations include mainstream and premium beer brands and export-focused sales supported by an Innovation Brewery that enables small-batch production and new product variants; brands referenced in the report include Lion Strong and Carlsberg Special Brew. The Oils and Fats business includes specialised manufacturing capacity in Malaysia through Premium Vegetable Oils Sdn Bhd. The Group also holds leisure properties and real estate assets, and conducts portfolio and asset management activities comprising interest income, dividend income and trading of equity and debt securities. The Group’s operations span Sri Lanka and overseas plantation and manufacturing locations (including Indonesia and Malaysia in the annual report) and it sells into a number of international markets. Sustainability and responsible sourcing are highlighted across operations, including plantation-level traceability, forest protection initiatives and investments in energy- and water-efficiency in its beverage operations.
