Foreign investors bought US$9.1m of Sri Lankan rupee government securities in the week ended June 5, the third straight weekly inflow and part of US$19.2m of inflows over the past three weeks. Total inflows since Dec 26 stood at Rs26.2bn (US$87.3m).
HNB Finance reported profit after tax of Rs 765 million for 2024, up 23% y/y. The company said it will strengthen its lending by shifting toward secured loans, open two new branches, expand leasing and gold-loan portfolios, improve asset quality and received a Fitch upgrade to A(lka) Stable.
