Commercial Bank of Ceylon will roll out an integrated POS and digital payments solution across Abans PLC's network of over 400 outlets, supporting major international and domestic card schemes, QR payments and integration with Abans' ERP/SCM. The omni-channel platform also supports international QR schemes and Easy Payment Plans.

United Motors Lanka PLC announced a 10-for-1 share split, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval, increasing issued shares from 100.9 million to 1.009 billion. Stated capital will remain unchanged; the board said the split aims to improve market liquidity and reported group NAV/share of Rs.147.52 at end-September 2025.

Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC won the Retail Sector Award at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2025. The company highlighted expanded solar integration at factories, an e-waste collection network across 400+ outlets, support for 2,800 youth entrepreneurs and adoption of SLFRS S1/S2 for sustainability reporting.

Fems won three awards at the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2025 — Gold for CSR Brand of the Year and Innovative Brand of the Year, and Bronze for Local Brand of the Year — becoming the first feminine hygiene brand in Sri Lanka to win Local Brand of the Year.

Halal Assessment Council (HAC) received a Merit Award at the Sri Lanka National Quality Awards 2023 from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution on 11 November 2025. HAC certifies Halal products for domestic and international markets; Halal-certified exports were estimated at $1.9bn in 2024 (63% of food & beverage exports, 16% of total exports).

National inflation (NCPI) rose to 2.7% in October 2025 from 2.1% in September; food inflation increased to 4.1% and non-food year-on-year inflation rose to 1.5%.

Bairaha Farms will implement a 1-for-5 share split pending EGM approval on 17 Dec, with a record date of 19 Dec; trading will be suspended 18–24 Dec and subdivided shares start trading on 26 Dec. The split raises issued shares from 17.6m to 88m while stated capital stays at Rs. 536.3m; last close Rs. 450.

Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) has appointed Natasha Boralessa as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective 1 December 2025. Boralessa brings 25+ years' senior leadership experience including roles at Brandix and as an Independent NED at BPPL Holdings.
