Colombo Chief Magistrate ordered the CID to arrest senior National Development Bank PLC officials accused of aiding an alleged Rs.13.2 billion misappropriation from NDB’s general ledger and to seize audit reports and probe whether CBSL recommendations were suppressed. Investigators say 900 suspicious accounts were identified and no audit of the ledger has been done since 2022.
