Haycarb PLC reported a 5% rise in quarterly profit to Rs 1.42 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, with consolidated revenue up 67% to Rs 19.7 billion. Cost of sales rose 89% to Rs 16.2 billion, finance costs nearly doubled to Rs 485.7m and tax expense jumped to Rs 616.6m.
Colombo Stock Exchange closed down with the ASPI down 0.12% to 21,066.18 and turnover at 3.57 billion rupees. Crossings included John Keells (11,971,313 shares) and Seylan Bank (300,000), and Dipped Products and Haycarb announced cash dividends of 0.76 and 1.70 rupees per share respectively.

Haycarb PLC posted a 30% drop in June 2025 quarter net profit to LKR 517 million amid higher costs. Revenues rose 36% to LKR 13.6bn but costs increased 51% to LKR 11.01bn, with coconut shell charcoal price spikes from a crop shortfall squeezing margins.

Haycarb PLC's fully owned subsidiary Puritas marks 30 years, reporting it has treated over 16 million litres of industrial wastewater, 24 million litres of domestic wastewater and 20 million litres of raw water and plans to scale recycling, reuse and ZLD solutions regionally.
Profit-taking dragged the Colombo market down, with ASPI closing 8 points lower (‑0.04%) at 18,877 on turnover of Rs.6.2bn and foreign net selling of Rs.115.2m. COMB, MELS, SAMP and NDB were top negative contributors while JETS, SERV and AEL recorded gains.
