Colombo Stock Exchange ASPI rose 0.57% (up 120.83 pts) to 21,293.57 at midday, with market turnover LKR 264 million and capital goods leading turnover at LKR 80.9 million. Ceylon Cold Stores reported June-quarter profit of LKR 1.063 billion, down 3% year-on-year.
Colombo market fell 0.22% as the ASPI closed at 22,208.58 with turnover near Rs.1.2bn and foreign net outflows of Rs.130.6m. Main negative contributors included SAMP, JKH, LOFC, GRAN and RICH, while SPEN, BOGA and HAYC recorded gains.
Colombo Stock Exchange rose with ASPI up 0.75% (164.01 pts) to 21,953.06 and S&P SL20 up 0.71% to 6,076.69; market turnover was LKR 1.014 billion, led by banks (LKR 296.2m). Central Industries declared a final dividend of LKR 6.00/share and its shares were up 3.21% at LKR 224.75.
Colombo Stock Exchange extended its rally into an 11th session as the ASPI rose 0.47% (102.30 pts) to 21,778.60 with turnover of Rs. 6.27 billion and foreign net outflows of Rs. 362.2 million. Top contributors included DIMO, BUKI, CCS, MELS, WATA and SUN, with gains also in CHOT and PKME.
Central Industries PLC appointed C.S. Hettiarachchi as Non-Executive Chairman and Thilini Wathsala Weerasinghe and Dushan Virantha as Non-Executive Directors. Weerasinghe and Virantha hold senior roles at Central Finance Company PLC and Hettiarachchi is also a director of Tea Smallholder Factories PLC.
ASPI gained about 108 points to 18,946 on Rs. 9.1 billion turnover, led by the Capital Goods sector; John Keells, Commercial Bank, Access Engineering, Hayleys and LOLC were top contributors and banking names including HNB and Sampath also recorded gains.
The ASPI rose 0.5% to 16,431 on low turnover of Rs.1.6 billion as bargain buying and month‑end flows supported a symbolic rebound; CINS, LOLC and COMB were top positive contributors while MELS and CFVF were among the main detractors.
